How the numbers were worked out
- Roommie: a plan is 4 credits and a render is 3. The $10 pack is 120 credits, so a plan is about 33¢. The range runs from the largest pack ($99) to the smallest ($5).
- Maket: generating a plan is 20 credits and a render is 10. Homeowner is $20 for 300 credits a month and Pro is $100 for 3,000 credits a month, so a plan is about 67¢ to $1.33.
- Edits: Roommie charges 2 credits (about 17¢) for each change you ask for in chat. Maket lists a separate 5-credit optimization step, which is not the same thing, so it is not compared here.
- Exports: Roommie gives every export, including DXF, SketchUp and IFC files, to every account. Maket's page lists PDF, DXF and render exports on paid plans and none on free. It does not list IFC or SketchUp files.
Where Maket does more
Maket's Pro plan includes human-checked plan uploads, and its top tier offers an API and bulk imports for builders. Roommie does not. If you need those, Maket is the better fit.
Roommie is not affiliated with Maket. Maket is a trademark of its owner. Compared on 7 October 2026 from public pricing pages. Outputs from both tools are drafts for review, not construction documents.
