Privacy

You can use Roommie without an account. This page says what happens to what you type and draw.

What we handle

  • Your messages and the current plan. They are sent to our server, and from there to an AI model provider (OpenRouter, which routes to the model that writes the replies), only to produce the reply.
  • Your projects. Without an account they are saved only in your own browser, and clearing your browser data deletes them. If you sign in, your projects are saved in our database so you can open them on any device. You can delete a project at any time.
  • Your Google sign-in, if you use it: your Google account id, name, email and profile picture. We use them only to identify you. We never see your Google password.
  • Your email account, if you sign up with email: your name, email address and a one-way hash of your password. We never store or see your password itself.
  • Payments, if you upgrade: Stripe takes your card details and handles billing. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe customer id and which plan you are on.
  • Email: we send confirmation, password reset and studio invite emails through Resend.
  • Studios: if you join a studio, the studio owner can see your email address, and projects you choose to share are visible to the people in that studio.
  • Your IP address. Our server uses it briefly, in memory, to limit how many messages one visitor can send. We do not store it.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • We do not train models on your projects.

Exports

DXF, SVG and GLB files are created in your browser and downloaded to your device.
