ArchiCAD AI assistant

An ArchiCAD AI assistant that builds real elements.

Roommie Pro is a Mac app that builds inside ArchiCAD while you chat. Ask it to “add a double bed against the east wall and a wardrobe on the west wall” and it places real ArchiCAD elements: walls, doors, windows, slabs, zones and objects from your own library. Then it looks at the floor plan and fixes what is off, for example a door that swings the wrong way.

Real elements, not lines

It places the same elements you would place by hand, so they behave like the rest of your project.

  • Walls joined at the corners: 0.3 m outside and 0.1 m inside, 2.7 m high, unless you ask otherwise
  • Doors and windows placed in their wall
  • Slabs, zones and columns
  • Furniture from your own library parts, found by name

Your project stays yours

It reads what is in the project first. It never deletes or moves your work unless you ask.

It checks its own work

After each job, Roommie Pro looks at a picture of the result, the way you would glance at the screen. If a wall runs across a door, a piece of furniture overlaps a wall or a size is wrong, it fixes it and looks again before it answers you.

How it connects to ArchiCAD

Roommie Pro talks to ArchiCAD through Tapir, a free add-on for ArchiCAD. You install it once.

Plans from your clients

Homeowners who plan their home in Roommie can tap “Send to my architect” and type your email address. The plan shows up in Roommie Pro when you sign in with that address, and one click opens it in your app with walls, doors, windows and furniture as separate parts.

What you need

Questions

Is there an AI assistant for ArchiCAD?

Yes. Roommie Pro builds real walls, doors, windows, slabs and objects in ArchiCAD on a Mac from a request in plain words.

Does it use my own library?

Yes. Before it places furniture, it searches your loaded library parts by name and uses only parts it finds there.

What is Tapir?

A free add-on that lets other apps run ArchiCAD commands. Roommie Pro needs it to build in your project.

Does it work on Windows?

No. Roommie Pro is a Mac app.

What does it cost?

Each request you type costs 1 credit. The drawing, checking and fixing that follow are included. It uses the same account and credits as Roommie, and a new account starts with 12 free credits.

Updated 5 November 2026. Roommie Pro drawings are drafts. Check them before you use them for building. AutoCAD, SketchUp and ArchiCAD are trademarks of their owners. Roommie is not affiliated with Autodesk, Trimble or Graphisoft.
